Read the care label first
Different fabrics, prints and finishes may have different needs. Follow the garment’s care label rather than assuming every item should be washed the same way. When in doubt, a gentler cycle and avoiding unnecessary heat are sensible starting points, provided they fit the label’s instructions.
Turn printed garments inside out before washing when the care instructions allow it. This can reduce direct rubbing on the printed surface and help limit friction with other items in the wash.

Avoid more heat than you need
High heat can affect some fabrics, prints and elastic components. Use the temperature and drying method recommended on the care label. If air drying is suitable, it can be a gentler option than a hot dryer.
Do not iron directly over a print unless the garment’s instructions specifically allow it. If ironing is needed, follow the label and use an appropriate barrier or reverse side where advised.

Store it ready to wear
Make sure garments are dry before putting them away. Give frequently worn items enough space to stay in shape, and fold or hang them according to the fabric and garment construction.
Care is not about keeping clothing perfect forever. It is about helping the pieces you value remain wearable, comfortable and ready for the next memory.
